Editorial Standards
How we research, write, update, and disclose affiliate relationships.
Last updated: 2026-05-29Research Methodology
Every SaaSRadar comparison is based on a combination of hands-on evaluation, direct vendor documentation review, and current pricing verification. We do not accept vendor-supplied copy as a substitute for independent research.
What we do for each comparison
- Sign up for free trials or request demo environments for each tool compared
- Test core workflows: onboarding, primary use cases, integration with common tools (Zapier, Slack, etc.)
- Capture screenshots of actual pricing pages at time of publication
- Read publicly available documentation and changelogs
- Note G2, Capterra, and Trustpilot rating distributions (not as ratings signals — as user experience signals)
What we do not do
- Accept vendor-written content or "guest posts" in exchange for coverage
- Adjust ratings based on affiliate commission rates
- Include tools in comparisons because vendors asked us to
- Exclude tools from comparisons because vendors asked us to
AI-Assisted Content
SaaSRadar uses AI language models to accelerate first drafts of comparison articles and blog posts. Every AI-generated draft passes through a two-stage quality gate before publication:
- Automated quality gate: The draft is evaluated against our editorial rubric — minimum word count, primary keyword density, factual claim density, and a hallucination detection check. Drafts that fail are regenerated or sent to human review.
- Human editorial review: A human editor reads the article, verifies pricing figures against live vendor pricing pages, checks feature claims against documentation, and ensures the article meets our voice and quality standards.
All AI-generated content carries an AI disclosure indicator. We believe in transparency about AI involvement in content production — our readers deserve to know.
Update Policy
SaaS pricing and features change frequently. We maintain comparison pages with the following schedule:
- Comparison articles: Monthly pricing verification. "Pricing last verified" date shown on every page.
- Tool profiles: Updated when pricing changes are detected by our price-tracking agent or flagged by readers.
- Regulation briefs: Updated when regulatory developments occur; original publication date preserved.
- Stale content: Articles that cannot be verified within 60 days are flagged as potentially outdated and de-indexed until updated.
To report outdated information, email editorial@saasradar.org with the page URL and the specific information that needs updating.
Affiliate Disclosure Policy
SaaSRadar earns commissions when readers click affiliate links and subsequently purchase software. We are transparent about these relationships:
- Pages with affiliate links display a disclosure banner at the top of the article, before any content.
- Individual affiliate links are visually indicated where possible.
- We cover tools whether or not an affiliate relationship exists — lack of affiliate agreement does not exclude a tool from coverage.
- Affiliate commission rates do not influence editorial ratings. A tool rated 3/5 is rated 3/5 regardless of its commission rate.
- Sponsored vendor profiles (where vendors pay for enhanced listings) are labelled as "Sponsored". Sponsored placement does not change editorial ratings.
Our affiliate relationships include programs with: SEMrush, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Monday.com, ClickUp, and other B2B SaaS vendors. This list is non-exhaustive; individual page disclosures are the authoritative record for any specific article.
Corrections Process
We take factual accuracy seriously. If you believe something we have published is factually incorrect:
- Email editorial@saasradar.org with the page URL, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and any supporting evidence.
- We review all correction requests within 5 business days.
- Verified factual errors are corrected within 24 hours of verification.
- Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the article with the correction date.
- We do not alter the meaning of previously published content without disclosure.
Article Quality Standards
Every article published on SaaSRadar meets these minimum standards before going live:
- Minimum 800 words of substantive content (not padded with filler)
- Primary keyword present in title, first paragraph, and at least one subheading
- At least 2 internal links to related comparisons or tool profiles
- Structured data (schema.org) for article type, author, and breadcrumbs
- Mobile-readable formatting: short paragraphs, subheadings every 200–300 words
- Pricing verified at time of publication; "last verified" date displayed
- Author byline with link to author profile page
