Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection

SaaSRadar collects the following types of information to operate and improve our service:

  • Information you provide: When you submit a vendor inquiry (company name, tool name, work email, budget range) or subscribe to our newsletter (email address), we store the data you provide.
  • Usage data: We collect anonymized analytics including pages visited, referral sources, device type, and general geographic region. We do not track individual users across sessions unless you have explicitly consented to analytics cookies.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: See Section 4 for details.

We do not collect sensitive personal data (health, financial, government IDs, etc.) and we do not sell personal data to any third party.

2. Email Handling

Your email address is used only for the purposes you signed up for:

  • Newsletter: If you subscribed, you will receive periodic SaaSRadar updates. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • Vendor inquiries: If you submitted a pricing inquiry, we will send a confirmation email and follow-up communications relevant to your inquiry.
  • Transactional emails: Account-related notices (e.g. password resets, if applicable).

CAN-SPAM Compliance: All marketing emails include a clear subject line, a physical address for SaaSRadar, and a functional unsubscribe mechanism. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

We do not purchase email lists, and we do not share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Cookies

SaaSRadar uses the following categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Required for the website to function (e.g. CSRF tokens, session state). These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We use privacy-respecting analytics tools that minimize data collection. These are only set with your consent.
  • Functional cookies: Remember your preferences (e.g. accepted cookie consent). These are set only after you interact with the consent banner.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.

4. Third-Party Services

SaaSRadar integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Cloudflare: CDN, DDoS protection, and edge computing. Processes IP addresses and request metadata. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
  • Resend: Email delivery for newsletters and transactional emails. Receives recipient email addresses and email content. Resend Privacy Policy
  • Cloudflare D1: Database storage for inquiry and subscription data.
  • Cloudflare Workers KV: Rate limiting and caching. Stores minimal metadata (email hashes, timestamps) with automatic expiration.

We vet all third-party services for data protection standards and only share the minimum data necessary for them to perform their function.

5. Your Rights

GDPR (EU Residents): Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Right to restrict processing: Request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
  • Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@saasradar.org. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

CAN-SPAM (US Residents): You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email or by contacting us directly. We honor all opt-out requests within 10 business days.

Data Retention: We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Vendor inquiries are retained for up to 12 months.
